Dreamfarm is a Brisbane based Australian design company that takes pride in developing new and unique, utilitarian kitchen tools and gadgets. The recipients of several design awards, all of Dreamfarm’s products are purpose driven and highly functional.

For the coffee enthusiast, Dreamfarm has produced the Grindenstein knock-box. This novel Knock-box makes light-work of the usually messy, noisy job of cleaning up after brewing a coffee shot. With the Grindenstein knock-box, you no longer have to go to the trouble of rinsing the oily coffee ground-remains from your espresso machine’s portafilter or group handle down the sink. Instead, just invert your portafilter over the Grindenstein and tap it against the knock bar.

A compact 4" tall knock-box, the Grindenstein saves precious counter space by fitting easily on the drip tray of most home-use espresso machines.  The durable, unbreakable Grindenstein includes a thick steel knock bar that is 4" in length. The steel knock bar is wrapped in a rubber sleeve. The entire design is shock-absorbing and also helps to absorb the sound made as you empty your coffee grounds.

The Grindenstein is dishwasher safe (top rack). Each Grindenstein unit comes with a booklet of ideas on how to make sustainable use of your coffee grounds, for example collecting them and making a highly effective organic fertilizer for gardening.
